“Science cannot solve the ultimate mystery of nature. And that is because, in the last analysis, we ourselves are ... part of the mystery that we are trying to solve”

Tired of traditional therapies? Looking for something more? Consider ‘Psycho-spiritual Therapy’, which offers a spiritual view of any issues that you may be experiencing as well as a new perspective on life.

Psycho-spiritual therapy is an approach that synthesizes traditional psychotherapeutic methods with the expanded perspective of spiritual psychology. While in some ways it resembles conventional therapy, it is fundamentally different in scope, depth and the speed at which it brings about lasting transformation.lady waterfall

Spirituality is nothing to do with the rules of religion; it is about us recognising that we are more than a mind and body. There is a higher power than anything that science can prove exists and yet deep down we know that power exists. It is about our relationship with that power. It is about opening ourselves so we can connect with that power to receive direction and purpose in this physical body in this particular lifetime. Our physical body is something we use to experience the growth of our spirit.

What’s so different about psycho-spiritual therapy?

The affect is more indirect than in more traditional and non-spiritual therapies. Change happens on an unconscious level. As this change takes place, you begin to listen to the voice of your own soul, rather than the voices of influential others (parents, family, friends etc) Your own soul gives you the guidance you need because deep down, you are whole and complete – you have everything you have ever needed and all you need to do is learn how to get back in touch with it again. Through this you become empowered and then begin to take all the steps necessary to overcome the obstacles that seemed insurmountable before. Then things begin to fall into place of their own accord.

You are supported in viewing current situation together with any symptoms you may be experiencing, as a gateway to greater awareness. When life’s conditions are understood in the larger context of the soul’s journey towards wholeness, there is less resistance to “what is” and “what has been” – a primary cause for the manifestation of a wide range of psychological as well as physical symptoms.

Psych-spiritual therapy is so much more than dealing with everyday symptoms; it is the beginning of the journey towards self-discovery, inner healing and spiritual transformation.

Bringing Your Life Into Balance

The aim of psychospiritual therapy is to help you bring your life back into balance by helping you connect with your soul and it’s purpose. We are therefore working at a deeper energetic level. More traditional methods of therapy tend to aim more at adjusting specific behaviour.

When you are in balance, you experience a state of inner calm and peace which helps to keep you in touch with your own natural strengths and resources. We were born with them to help to cope with the ups and downs of life. Somewhere along the way, we get disconnected; we know that something is “not quite right” or we feel “out of sync”, but we cannot specify exactly what it is. We just know that we don’t feel ourselves.

The Symptoms of Lack of Balance

  • Irritability or mood swings
  • Fatigue
  • Lack of focus or concentration
  • Lethargy
  • Depression
  • Disconnection from others
  • Sometimes these symptoms turn into physical problems
  • Core values being met

We all need to know we have amongst other things

  • Self acceptance
  • Good health
  • Safety and security
  • Relationships
  • Career
  • Creativity
  • Friendships
  • The appreciation of others

The Core Assumptions of Psycho-Spiritual Therapy

There are certain assumptions which lie at the core of psycho-spiritual therapy. If you feel you can identify with these assumptions, then it could be what you are looking for to help re-establish the connection with your true core self

We are here to grow. We do this by giving our lives meaning and purpose and then taking action to experience the things that give our lives purpose. If we didn’t face obstacles, we wouldn’t have the chance to connect with our inner strengths and we wouldn’t have a means of recognising that growth.

What we often consider to be limitations are the potential for transformation. Throughout the ages we have encountered limitations in different forms. Once upon a time there was slavery. Now slavery exists in a different form – debts, jobs, relationships and even our own beliefs. Each one appears to limit our growth and prevent us from the freedom we desire. All of these limitations are opportunities for transformation.

We always have access to the higher source/all that there is/God or whichever label you choose to give it. We tend to forget this because we believe we are separate from, rather than a part of the whole of creation. Learning to connect to the higher power helps you to realise that you are not alone and to receive guidance and clarity.

We are energy. The whole of creation is energy. We attract circumstances that match our energy – that’s how we create. All of our relationships are our energetic creation. So, if we are “victim” then we often find ourselves in relationships that keep us as victim, we find ourselves taken advantage of and believe the world is full of nasty people. Until we wake up and become empowered.

The most important relationship we can have is the relationship with ourselves. As you begin to accept yourself, you begin to change the dynamics of your relationship with others.

We live many lives. You choose the circumstances you are born into at an energetic level.

You can only conquer fear through love. Anything other than love is separation from source and all the joy you experience through connection.
